We are starting a new blog to provide Linux information about the best selling laptops in the market, starting with the HP Pavilion dvxz series that features an ATI graphics card with different screen sizes: dv4z, dv5z, dv7z and Compaq-CQ45 laptops.
Some users of this laptop seem to be having troubles getting all sound features to work. In several occasions, these problems have been solved by using Ubuntu versions 8.10 or 9.04. Some other reports on ways to solving them here:
